"I can't even describe how much I love the ring that Brendan designed and executed. I wanted a wedding ring that was far from traditional and that is exactly what I got! It is two intertwined dragons with the ruby's representing the fire from their mouths and the emeralds are their eyes. This is truly a wonderful place for jewelry, especially if you want a custom ring."
"I don’t have the words to describe how perfect the rings Brendan designed for me are. I went to Brendan to help design an engagement ring and then two wedding bands. Brendan was so easy to work with and never made me feel pressure. His design process for custom rings was amazing and Brendan works with you every step of the way so the finished ring is just what you want! I can’t say enough good things about Brendan and his custom jewelry!"
"We highly recommend Elements! Brendan created the most beautiful engagement ring, based on a photo I shared with my fiancé. We went back for our wedding bands and appreciate how knowledgeable and creative Brendan is!"
"Brendan was so unbelievably patient and helpful with us throughout the entire process of creating our engagement ring. We had gone to a few other places before Elements, and the service we received was like night and day. It's obvious that the staff really cares about the people who walk through that door. We were treated as people and not customers who have money to spend. He worked with our budget and was in constant communication, he did everything he could to find the exact stone that I wanted, and the final product was more than I could have ever asked for. I am OBSESSED with my ring."
"Our family has purchased jewelry from Brendan for almost 30 years and every piece he has created has been special and become an heirloom. We enjoy our relationship with Brendan because he truly listens to our thoughts about the occasion, style, and color so that the jewelry matches beautifully with the receiver of the gift. Brendan is a gifted artist and designer and we have purchased jewelry from contemporary to classic and in-between and have enjoyed all of his unique works of art."
ABOUT THE OWNER - BRENDAN
From my student years at the College For Creative Studies to my current role as founder
and chief designer at Elements Jewelry Studio in Royal Oak, Mich., I have anchored my artistic vision around what I call the E.P.I.C. Principle – design that embodies
Engagement, Passion, Integrity, and Collaboration.
Engagement of one or more individuals is how you judge whether or not your art “works.”
If you create something and nobody else engages with it, you’ve probably made a mistake.
Passion is the foundation of all art from the most abstract painting to wearables like
jewelry and fashion. Passion expresses itself through materials and each of these materials needs to be
treated with Integrity, which begins by understanding their inherent qualities as well as
their potential for transformation.
And finally, Collaboration has always been a critical element of my approach to
design – from listening to the critiques of my art professors, to interacting with other creative people, to working with clients in my business.
THE CO-CREATION PROCESS
The process of creating legacy jewelry shouldn’t be intimidating, whether we are talking about a simple wedding band or a complex piece of wearable fine art. It starts with a simple conversation around what you want, what sentiment you are trying to capture, your personal preferences in terms of design, budget considerations, and what materials work for your design and lifestyle – delicate pieces, for example, may not be the right choice for active outdoorspeople.
From there we will create some conceptual sketches and review them with you. Once we have aligned on a design, we will move on to more finished CAD, (computer aided design,) models. Assuming you agree, we then will make a 3D printed or wax model which will give a better sense of what your finished piece will look like. Once the final prototype is approved we will cast your piece in the metal of your choice. This methodology ensures that the piece you receive is exactly the piece you want to purchase, not just something we decided to sell you.
At Elements, the process is always in your hands, we just provide the expertise necessary to make your vision real.
